Columbus based band, Pretty Mighty Mighty has been playing their blend of pop math rock for quite some time. People are finally starting to notice.
Garageband.com recently announced that it has selected 35 songs that will be considered for the first Garageband.com $250,000 award. PMM's tune, Ski Instructor is one of the finalists along with tunes from other bands located around the globe.
The Garageband.com web site was spawned in September by ex-Talking Heads member, Jerry Harrison and George Martin, who signed the Beatles to their first recording contract and produced many of their albums.
The winner will be announced at the end of the month.
Editors Note: We at the AMN wish these guys the best of luck. Congratulations on making it this far. Hey, local musicians! I told you getting on the web can pay off! Read more about this at the Columbus Dispatch web site. Thanks to Bryan Gibson for the Info
