Sean Jones Acquires the Greenery
By Matthew

Mama Einstein's manager Brad Haughn
recently told the AMN that Swindlefish owner Sean Jones has signed papers
to buy the Greenery from it's current owners. In what has become a game
of musical monopoly, this purchase will bring the total number of local
musical establishments owned by Mr. Jones to three. He currently owns
Mama Einstein's and the Swindlefish.
Sean's plans for the Greenery
are obviously still in a state of fluctuation. However, Brad stated that
the Swindlefish may move to the top floor of the Greenery. This will
be a much better location for bands to play and will become Athens largest
live music establishment capable of holding hundreds of music fans. The
bottom floor of the Greenery may become a store of some sort and the
current Swindlefish may be renamed and re-designed to become an after-hours
bar.
Will the "old" Swindlefish host Athens' all-night Rave scene or become a Jazz Club?
The new after-hours bar will not
be allowed to serve alcoholic beverages due to Athens' various "blue laws." Instead, the new bar may serve smoothies and heath drinks and may feature all
night long rave parties complete with DeeJay's and lightshows. The bar
may also feature late night Jazz shows much like Andre Barton's musical
venture, named "The Alley."
