John
Lennon Tribute at O'Hooley'sBy Eric Leighton (Circle 5 corespondent) - 11/7/2000
The Circle 5 Musician Co-op is hosting a Tribute to John Lennon at O'Hooley's Irish Pub and Brewery on Friday, December 8th, 2000.
This will be the 20th anniversary of his death. We are looking for musicians who are interested in joining us in this celebration and remembrance. If you know any John Lennon tunes, or would like to have a reason to learn some, here's your chance.
We will be supplying a full bands' worth of gear, including a nice keyboard for piano tunes, so all you should need to do is show up. Individuals and bands are welcome, we just ask that you contact us with information about your needs, a list of any songs you would like to perform, and a contact person. This is so we can avoid having 20 versions of Working Class Hero (which I believe Biester owns the rights to).
This should be a fun and casual affair, and you might hear some songs from some other fallen heroes as well. Our buddy Johnny B will receive some treatment for the December 3, 6th anniversary of his death. Please contact the Circle 5 via junebug@frognet.net with sign up information and questions, or visit http://www.frognet.net/~junebug/ jlennon.html for (potentially) further information. Sign up quick, space is limited.
Thank you from the Circle 5.
