Music Community Festival 2001 Schedule

Saturday August 11th, Scott Winland and Jim Fuller have once again put together an Athens Community Music Festival. This annual summer event will benefit The Athens County Visiting Nurses Association. It features about 17 bands playing in 4 local venues - The Front Room, The Union, O'Hooley's Irish Pub, and The Casa Cantina.
Some of you may remember the format last year, this year's will be similar. It kicks off at The Front Room, at 7 PM with free food provided by local businesses. The fest then directs its attention to 'headliner" and local legend J.D. Hutchison who will be performing a solo set at the Union at 10 PM.
Following JD's set, the fest splits off into 4 venues, featuring 4 acts at each venue. Furthermore, all the later shows will be catered, and local businesses will be giving away gift certificates & prizes throughout the night.
This year's cover is $7 for a wristband, which entitles the wearer entrance to every show that night. Or one may pay $4 at each separate venue (this option is for those who'd like to stay in one place, or not stay out too late!) Great local music and food; for a great local cause!
