Peace Protest on Court Street @ Court Street

I know that this isn't a political web site, but many of the AMN's readers are former students and residents who have commented to me in the past that they like the AMN because it shows what's going on in Athens. Not just musically, but visually via all the various photo albums.
It was an interesting day today. It doesn't matter if you are for or against the war, I'm sure you'll find these images at the very least, interesting. I'm not trying to comment on anything, I'm just showing what happened.
I suppose I can legitimize putting this on a music site by saying that a lot of musicians were there today either participating or watching, and there was a lot of music from the crowd. It's a small town and most of the faces on the street were familiar ones, people I'd seen in bars or in stores around Athens.
There were signs in some of the coffee shops yesterday, notifying patrons of the planned protest today. I estimate the parade had a few hundred while the civil disobedience on court street numbered near a thousand participants and onlookers. There was lots of press and folks with cameras, like myself.
