World's Fastest Guitarist to Hold Free Guitar Clinic

By Matthew Toledo - 5/8/2003

Debbie Martin and the gang at Third Street Music & Recording are all ablaze with anticipation for Thursday May 15th, 2003. Why? They are holding a FREE guitar clinic featuring Michael Angelo. What? The italian inventor you say? No, he's been dead for centuries! Michael "Angelo" Batio is a former member of the band metal band, Nitro and has been written about in several guitar magazines as the fastest guitar player in the world.

Michael Angelo is also the inventor of the double guitar. It is "like a siamese twin kind of thing, and he plays simultaneously with hands - left and right in harmonics - very cool", stated event organizer Debbie Martin. "We are very proud and excited about this. This is perhaps the first time a clinic has ever been done in Marietta - and after the clinic, he is going to challenge any guitar player in the audience to play faster than him."

The free guitar clinic will be held May 15th, 7:30 P.M. at Marietta College Gathering Place located on the corner of Butler and 7th in Marietta, Ohio. You need to RSVP if you want to attend. You can do so by contacting Debbie Martin at Third Street Music, 423 3rd St. Marietta, Ohio, 45750 or you can phone her at 740-373-8505.

For more info on Michael "Angelo" Batio, visit his sponsor's site, Dean Guitars. ROCK!

Buckethead
what about Buckethead? he's insane

#8 by kurt on May 01, 2006 12:00:00 AM

Kirk Hammet is a professional hack!
Micheal Angelo is an incredibly fast guitarist but, moreover, he is incredibly accurate as well. Bucket head was rated as the 8th fastest guitarist, but I can't remember which magazine it was. I have been unable to find a definitive list of the fastest shredders in the world, and i'm not sure such a list could ever be completely accurate. I would suspect that the Great Kat is faster than either of them, however. (Bloody Vivaldi)

Quit it

Stop bragging so much uz all sound like douschbags. Michaels phrasing Rox, especially in no boundaries, I think I'd know, I cover that in many of my gigs. I have an Ibanez endorsement and I know satch and vai personally and they're both out of this world and yes Herman li is fast as hell and awesome as well, learn all of through the fire and the flames and you'll soon see. anyway, stop arguing who's better, everyone you've said so far is an awesome axe player. And as for Pedro, leave quality sites like this alone, its not for fat headed wannabes, its for admirers of the electric guitar in all its glory. so leave this forum and don't EVER come back.
