This Moment in Black History was amazing last Saturday. I hope local denizens of the AMN had a chance to catch their set. It was the first time I saw them with Lawrence, who sings in Lives of the Saints, playing bass. LOS are another really good Cleveland band that everyone should be required to see. Buddy the guitarist had a new music-man amp as opposed to old ampeg he used to play through, and it sounded muy excellente. I hope the Dropdead Sons play on the same night This Moment does at Blackout Fest, but I will learn to live again if that's not the case. Big A-town shoutouts to leslie "set to detonate this year" Keffer, the Makebelieves and We March for rounding out an incredible bill. Hopefully, next time our keyboard player-shaman-roadhog-shape-willy-the-fingers will feel well enough to come down from C-bus and play.
