Teeth of the Hydra Teeth of the Hydra are three guys who are deadset on putting the HEAVY back in music. Posessing the brutality of early Metallica and Celtic Frost, the old soul of NWOBHM and Saint Vitus, and a punishing raw attack inspired by early hardcore, Teeth of the Hydra have created a nine headed sonic beast.

Terribly Empty Pockets A band who prefer Peter Pan (creamy) peanut butter to Skippy, aka, the rich kids' peanut butter. Some have referred to their songs as "ineffably witty" Others have called it "a travesty". The Pockets fancy themselves somewhere in between.

Them Wranch Who are Them Wranch? Little is known about Them Wranch, 'cept that on occasion they run with a rough crowd, drink in the way of gallons and wrassle the ladies with a very smooth style. Where do they come from? Rumor say highway 71, others say the streets, but I reckon the desert. Probably the likes of Death Valley, Tombstone, Boothill, somewheres around them parts.

This Moment In Black History Tired of conventional, off-the shelf garage rock-isms, bullshit attitudes, shallow demeanors and music as a popularity contest, and charged up with things to say about social stratification, our treacherous political climate, race relations, and the crush of technology, This Moment in Black History formed after a handful of basement sessions at The Black Eye, a cavernous punk house where three of the members were living together.

Todd Snider "It's hard to know exactly what to call this genre that sounds sort of like old country music and nothing like the new country music. But in the last few years, most of it has gotten swept together under the heading of Americana, a label that is broad and blurry enough to welcome everyone who isn't getting played on mainstream radio. Jed Hilly, the new executive director of the Americana Music Association, says the music honors, and is derived from, the traditions of American roots music. That, he tells me, encompasses everyone from Gram Parsons and the Band to Lucinda Williams and Lyle Lovett. People who you would think are the very cornerstones of country music — Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash — are now called Americana, and in that case Americana is what we'd loved all along. Of course it's also what Nashville has made for decades, and it's the reason this city keeps drawing in talented folks from the fringes of the radio dial." -- 9/23/2007 The New York Times

Tough And Lovely The Tough and Lovely have been drawing crowds and turning them on in clubs across the mid-west, mid-south, and east coast. The band is comprised of guitarist Andy Robertson, bassist Carol Schumacher, drummer Christian Pierce and guitarist/organist Mark Sims all solidly pounding out straight-up, infectious rock-n-roll behind a phenomenal lead singer, Lara Yazvac, who belts it out while deftly strutting up and down the stage.

Troubled Hubble Proof that relentless good cheer, mountains of hard work, and a knack for pop hooks don't always lead to disappointment, shattered dreams, and office jobs: Troubled Hubble, the band you've never heard of but that will soon be making you as jitteringly happy as they are. Maybe they already are, if you've pushed "play" on their Lookout debut Making Beds In A Burning House and found "14,000 Things To Be Happy About." If you haven't pushed "play" yet, do so. Thank you.
