Detailed Information
This is a benifit concert for the Zienzele Foundation, and the cover is $5. It's a little pricey, but it's a good cause- basically every $5 they make sends an AIDS orphan in Zimbabwe to school. How could you say no to that?

Bands/artists playing: Joey Hebdo, Shotgun for Royalty, and Silent Age.

Matt Says: The wire went under mid summer of 2007. They hope to find a new space soon. The Wire is a multipurpose community art space. You can hold poetry slams, fundraisers, and even all out punk shows at this place. The acoustics are OK and the sound system is mostly DIY. You'd better contact them to see what they have and what it is capable of doing. Some cool art-rock, underground metal and punk bands have played tall bills to enthusiastic crowds thanks to local openers and word of mouth. This place is great for folks trying to get a foothold in Athens who live here or are friends with a local band.
