Just wanted to let you know that I am putting together a Bob Dylan Tribute Night at Casa Cantina on April 12th, 2008. (this is also my birthday!) I know Harvey did this a few years ago, and I thought it was time to bring it back! I wanted to get the message out now, so folks can start thinking about sets.... if you are interested please let me know (liz@stuartsoperahouse.org). I'm thinking 4-5 songs per group or solo. We can obviously talk more about this as the date draws nearer, but I am totally stoked now. Also ALL PROCEEDS (minus sound guy/gal payment) will go to the March of Dimes. This cause means a lot to me as my niece was born 3 months premature, at 1 lb 5 oz. She was soooo tiny, and fought hard to live. She's doing well now... but more research needs to be done to help prevent premature births. Also by that time, I'll be 8 months pregnant, so I am sure it will be a HOOT to see me that huge on stage. Hahaha. I'd love this night to be HUGE and raise money for March of Dimes as well as have an amazing night of dylan tunes preformed by my favorite musicians in the world.

Just wanted you to know that I probably won't be really booking the particular bands/folks until late January, or early February. I just wanted to get the show out there now. Judging by the fact that everyone loves Dylan, it will probably be hard to accommodate everyone who wants to play, too. But regardless, it will be awesome, and I can't wait.
