Feb 2 2008, at 9:30pm, Terry Efaw and Steve Reis members of McGuffey Lane will be participating in Athens Winter Jazz and Blues Festival. Steve and Terry are both founding members of McGuffey. They are both from Athens. In 1970 Terry received The Chet Atkins Guitar Player of the Year Award. Chet personally gave Terry a Gretch White Falcon guitar. Ron Scott a renowned guitar player from Athens taught Terry to play guitar when he was a young child. Steve is a bass player singer-song writer for McGuffey Lane, They also will be assisting Mark (The Love Man) Pender and The R&B Station Band in Saturdays Blues in the School Program at Alexander High School at 10am Sat moring, The workshop is free to all junior high and high school students, Lunch will be provided. Bring you instruments.
