Ike Willis & Ugly Radio Rebellion - Jackie O's - May 30 & 31 I have had the pleasure to bring Ike Willis and Ugly Radio Rebellion back to Jackie O's Pub & Brewery for a two-night run. Ike was the lead singer for Frank Zappa's band from about 1978 until Frank stopped touring. I saw him with Frank in 1988 or so at a big concert, and to have him at Jackie O's is something special to me. Ugly Radio Rebellion is a group out of Atlanta and Detroit made up of extremely talented musicians that keep the music of Frank Zappa alive. It is thanks to them and their love for Jackie O's that we are able to arrange such special concerts. Oh, and did I mention that the first night they will perform the album "Joe's Garage", and on the second night they will do "Apostrophe/Overnight Sensation"?!!! They will. Don't miss it! |

I missed him the first time he played back in December. 2 nights is amazing. All of Joe's Garage? I can think of a few Frank Zappa freaks in Columbus who need to hear about this. |

Tickets are at Haffa's - $8 in advance/ 2 for $15 / $10 at the door. My guess is they'll do all of the pertinent stuff on Joe's Garage - it is a three record set at least - who knows! Apostrophe/Overnight Sensation front to back! |
