Had an idea for an article. Had a list of 10 bands every senior at OU should see at least once before the school year ends. Keep in mind, I'm trying to be eclectic. The bands I listed tend to bring in larger crowds, and they tend to be the best in their fields. Any thoughts about acts I should add / remove? The list is in no particular order: Royales Papadosio October Fist We March Jesty Beatz Southeast Engine Dragline Bros. JD Hutchison The Neverevers Black Spyral Dancer |

i might say drop papadosio and black spyral dancer, what about skeletonwitch? (that is when they're not on tour with DANZIG!) maybe add the makebelieves, dropdead sons? |

You are right about skeletonwitch. I should totally add them to the list. However --and I'm not saying they are my favorite band on the planet-- Papadosio is the most popular "jam" band in Athens, take them off the list, and there is no jam representation. This is meant to be an all-inclusive list. Not everyone shares our tastes. Likewise, BSD are pretty popular too. They manage to fill venues despite being looked down upon by much of the local music scene.... The Makebelieves would have definitely been on the list, but aren't they broken up now? Isn't Johnny outta here? Hmmm... Good points, I will have to think more about them. Any other advice. |

throw in spooktober, and DANCE OR DIE (i know not a but that is still something to bee experienced ) also you might want to add in a venue to see those bands, like venues where the band really owns the stage and is kinda like their own turf |

Hmmm, I really like Spooktober a lot, but I don't know if they are ready for the list. This school year might be really good for them. Hopefully, some students catch on to the craze. Dance or Die should be on the list, but who do I bump? The newest act on the list is also the only act with women in it, The Neverevers? Geeze, its a tough one. I could make it the list "11 musical acts to see before you graduate" in honor of the 11 years of AMN's existence? I like the thought of pairing the band with the bar. But I don't want to turn this into a Union love fest. We all already know the Union is one of the most important bars for the local music scene. Perhaps I can do another story, "10 Bars to Visit Before You Graduate" Thoughts? |

Dance or Die is something but it is definitely not a band name. It should probably be on the list of top 10 dance nights you should go to. Not a band. |

just because a band draws doesn't mean they're any good or important enough for you to see. |
